Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.

Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? It is the best way to integrate into the university life but also into the town itself, so you get the best of both worlds.
Personal comments:
I was lucky to get a nice appartment in a nice area close to the university and local amenities. However the rent for my room is quite high copared to some of my friends and what they have. The bills for the electricity are expensive and the heating doesn´t work that well.

Nightlife
Travel
Overall
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Nightlife: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment
Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Well, for students, I would say Wednesday nights are student nights at a bar called TAS TAS ad Thursday nights at El Cine. With the university there is always something that they are arranging (day trips, weekend breaks etc)which should not be mised and the salsa classes!!!

Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish
How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
For the first couple of months it was easy to get by without making too much effort, but once i did start making an effort (to speak to the south american contingent, or the spanish students) i found that my standard improved more.
