Erasmus University Rotterdam is an institution of higher education and research. This government sponsored University, named after the humanist Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus (1469-1536), was created by the merger (in 1973) of the former Nederlandse Economi-sche Hogeschool, founded in 1913, and the Rotterdam School of Medicine, founded in 1966. At present the university numbers some 15,000 graduate students and 3,200 staff members.

Why? because the room are bigger, it is better for socializing with other exchange students and it is more clean
