HOUSING

Business Studies, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Campus is too far outside of the city. There is no shopping oppotunities on and around campus.
Personal comments:
It seems pretty random who gets to stay in the on-campus dorms which is by far the easiest to arrange...if you're lucky getting one. It is extremely hard as a non-french speaking person to find accomodations by yourself. The school helps out by finding hotels where you can stay. There are extremely expensive, though, and not very good.

Travel
Overall
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Activities, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
At least twice a week, I went to the café in hte school, which is ran by students; the atmosphere was great, I met a lot of people there and the beer was Belgium and cheap. What more do you want? In the towncntre, there weren't that many good café's open in the evenig. The two best were Shamrock, an Irish pub, and the Exit, both located at the Vieux-Port. There is also a club there, Trolleybus, which is very nice.

Yes, International teacher's should be highered to explore student's knowledge and skills. Because they have very different way of teaching and are full of new ideas then local teacher's.

Language of instruction: French
Was learning French a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my French
How much did you improve your French?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
I have chosen classes in English and French, I did not have problems with understanding, although I did not improve that much in local language because many international students did not know it so we spoke mostly English.
