Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? you meet other students you learn daily more about the language and the way of life
Personal comments:
rooms are very nice and you have your own bathrooms, kitchens are well equiped. the campus is located in a quiet area of the city.

Overall
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
"manna" tipycal bavarian, very good and cheap too, "wochn'blatt" for a salat or for the brunch on sundays, "beat schuppen" for cheap beers, "viper" for their large range of cocktails. in summer you can appreciate ice creams thanks to the nicely deals on the streets.
