Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Best contact to other individual student. Broadband internet connection available at low price. Nice View over Gothenburg from some dorm rooms. university in good cycling distance. difficulties to find appartment in city center.
Personal comments:
The buildings don't look nice first. But it developed to be a very pleasant and exciting stay. And by the way there's an amusement park in walking distance:)

Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Activities: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Cafe I liked most was "Smula", "Cafe Garbo" and the cafes in "Haga" - the old street in town. For going out there is are plenty of different types of discos/bars/pubs. I would recommend to go on www.alltomgoteborg.se

Fantastic.
Pretty good.
Could've been a bit better.
Disappointing.
Variety of courses
Availability/access to resources
Interaction with teachers
Interaction with other international students
Interaction with local students
Course recommendations:
My choices were limited to overall business courses. I tried to get in to the computer science facilities, but at that time no agreement was set between the host university and my home university. :( Those agreements depend on your home university.

Weather / Location
I wish I had known...
I should have packed warmer clothes!!! It was freezing during Winter.
In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled
Improved language skills
Met people from other countries
Became more independent
Partied a lot
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies/career
Personal recommendation:
I had a great time because I met so amny people from different countries and also experienced the real Swedish "city" life, as the city is the secong largest in Sweden and not just a university town. This was a real bonus for me, as I love discovering new cities. The exchange program at this university was extremely well organised. There was always an activity planned. For example, we were taken on a tour of the Volvo factory and also a famous brewery in Gothenburg. It was a great cultural experience and at the same time, I studied hard and partied hard.

FINAL COMMENTS

I recommend that every student who has the opportunity to do an exchange, should take it. It is a strong character building experience.
