HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Closer to the main campus and to the city. The apartment in which I lived on-campus was about a mile from the main campus and the city center.
Personal comments:
I enjoyed the place very much. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your German?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
The administration was very difficult to deal with if you did not speak fluent German without an accent. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Phone and internet services were really not what they should have been. In my opinion:
Stay home.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Make archives and libraries more accessible for international students. Make the university archives more accessible in general - when I was there, these archives were open for perhaps 3 hours per day, and nothing was particularly well-indexed. The staff at the university archives were also profoundly unhelpful. FINAL COMMENTS
If you are going to be using archival materials, be sure to have a letter (or letters) of introduction sent beforehand, and bring copies of the letters and your passport to the archives before starting out. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
