Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Because in my home university I have never lived on campus and is an excellent experience as you are allways in touch with the rest of students and you can learn a lot from them and aldo from yourself
Personal comments:
The room space was pretty good but it lacked a common space in the building to share with others. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
Apart from the great "soirées" at HEC. I would also recommend going into Paris to check out some great clubs. Some of my favs: Alacazar, Man Ray on Fridays, VIP, Latina Cafe, Les Planches (young crowd but very fun if you go out with a group). My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Well, you have to choose four out of seven CEMS courses...choose from your interests.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Fine, some of the teachings are a bit old fashioned though...heavily emphasis on the practicality of things learned (good). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Local language was: Different than language of instruction.
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning French a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my French How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: At ease in most situations How much did you improve your French?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) Personal comments:
Well, i had no problems communication in English, plus i could practice my French a lot =)) But in the beginning it was difficult to understand the accents of the professors, although all the classes were in English. The most complicated for me was to understand the professor from Canada. I had experience of "french english" before, so it did not take long to adapt. The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Other sources of funding:
Family Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Because prices in France are much higher than in Hungary in every category Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
It was a very nice surprise that we didn't have to pay at all for text books, we received them all for free, before the classes. The best tip for cost-saving could be to share your room with a friend. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Even I knew that the campus was far from Paris, I couldn't imagine how difficult can be sometimes going there. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I really enjoied my stay in HEC. Even there are some things they can improve, my recommendation is: go there! You will learn and have fun. FINAL COMMENTS
The university does not organize trips around France (except from skiing trip) so you need to arrenge it yourself and in advance. Otherwise, you wil have to pay more. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
