Overall leaving cost is lower in France than in Denmark. Also, being on campus has reduced the leaving cost during my stay.

As cost-saving tips, only one simple advice: stay on campus as much as it is possible. You will save a lot on food, drinks, telephone bills. A cheaper supermaket is just 500m from the campus, do your shopping in Attac.

The price level in France is a bit lower than in Norway, so mostly everything felt somehow cheaper, though to a varying degree.

If you study in France you might be eligible to a an accomodation support from the French authorities, the socalled CAF. Requires quite a bit of administrative work, but is worth it if you finally get it.

- I travelled more than I would in a normal semester - I did more sight seeing - night life in Paris is more expensive in Vienna and since we needed a taxi to get back to campus (about 15 € per person per night) it was all in all more expensive

It was a very nice surprise that we didn't have to pay at all for text books, we received them all for free, before the classes. The best tip for cost-saving could be to share your room with a friend.

The rent was higher than at home. Food in the cafeteria was cheap, the same applies to nightlife on campus (does not apply to Paris, Paris is really expensive).

travel: because I decided to travel in French and Holland...they were so near to me! nightlife: I didn't have too much ti study, so I preferred know very well "la ville lumière". food and telephone: because on campus there were special prices for students.
