HOUSING
by Rick, HES Rotterdam, Rotterdam, Netherlands
Business Studies, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Although there wasn't that much space in there I had the time of my life with my flatmates.
Personal comments:
I had to start paying the rent even before I moved into my appartment, costing me an additional 100 euros while not using it! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
by Rick, HES Rotterdam, Rotterdam, Netherlands
Business Studies, Erasmus
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Molly Malone's is the best place to meet foreign people. Studio 51 is the best club, and if you manage to find all the right happy hours it's not so expensive after all. The best parties are however given in the student's appartments. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

They have very good oral courses for English.

Personal comments:
A little more emphasis on real study and not only on the social skills of the student. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Government assistance Other sources of funding:
Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't want/need to work Personal spending habits:
It was a unique experience studying abroad and I did not want to be limited in my behaviour by financial troubles, so I used government support and the Erasmus grant to manage my situation. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
not really. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Although I think the quality of the courses is generally lower than at my home university it is a unique experience studying there. And all the people are very helpful and things are organized very well! FINAL COMMENTS
Finland might not be a number one choice of studying, but nobody would regret it when going there. I loved it, you'll love it! Take all the chances you've got to travel to e.g. Stockholm, Russia, Estonia and Lapland! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
