I wish I had known...
more information about the courses before more information about the city, where to live etc., because the school is not in the center, but except from school everything happens in the center! Best place to live: near place de la victoire, or between place de la victoire and place gambetta!

Personal recommendation
If there are different teachers for one course, it would be better if their topics are more adjusted to each other! It sometimes seems like they don´t know what the other teacher had thaught the students during the lessons before.

Bordeaux = great spot of france! Get to the beach as much as possible, above all to Lacanau and Cap Ferret. (Arcachon is more appropriate for old people and children as there are no high waves)

I practised my french a lot, because I lived together with a french girl. French students in general try to encourage foreign students to speak french, but switch to english, if they realise that your english is better than your french. I practised my english a lot as well, because several of the other exchange students could not speak french, as it is possible as well to take all your courses at school in english.

Bars near Place de la Victoire are the bars, where all the students go! Partys organised by school associations are the bast ones: "soirées"
