Personal assessment
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why? It was the nicest place to live...many international student and swedish people. Thats the prefect place to learn different cultures. The room was clean, big and cheap....af of course in the city center.
Personal comments:
I think.. it´s important to choose a place with many different people, i mean..from different countries. Then, you can learn a lot about other places and adapt many of your customs to new ones after know how the people live in other countries. The accommodation is, sometimes, even more important than the university. And of course, one of the reasons of living an erasmus experience is to have a big and nice cultural shock. No, it wasn't. Was learning Swedish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Swedish How much did you improve your Swedish?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) Personal comments:
Was perfect. Everybody knows english, when I say everybody I mean everybody, bartender, busdriver..., everybody... don´t worry about swedish, you don´t have to know swedish to survive. Also, swedish is very easy to learn. Really, if you want, you can... This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
