Personal assessment
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why? I enjoyed the experiences and knowledge I gained from my host family. I lived with them for 5 months and became extremely close to each of them.
Personal comments:
The housing program at DIS affiliated with Copenhagen University was extremely dedicated the students studying abroad. There were several different options available including living with a host family, in a kolligieum, with a Danish student, or on your own in an apartment. My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
There is a huge difference between those offered at a MA and BA level. Choose wisely. If as a BA student you take a course at an MA level - be prepared to study hard!

Language of instruction: English
Local language was: Different than language of instruction.
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning the local language a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my knowledge How much did you improve your local language?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) Personal comments:
Everyone speaks English, so it is actually hard to practice. Because I arrived later than other students to Denmark, they did not let me do the Danish course most students did. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I knew how the costs would have worked out - I would have started saving earlier. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I really liked it - only one flaw. The university has a lot of students, therefore the application process/dealing with the international office was usually very frustrating and slow. FINAL COMMENTS
Copenhagen is beautiful - a great mix of the continent and Scandinavia. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
