For my fisrt year I stayed in Passfield Hall, a 'budget' residence with reasonable prices (for London standards!) and lots of character. It was small, very friendly and close to the university -although American students tended to complain that it was falling to pieces :-) Later on I was forced to move to private accommodation, which is the British version of hell

At LSE, it is a very complicated topic, because there is not enough place for all the students to live in school's residences. So the priority is definitely not for exchange students who only come for 3 months. But I since I had the chance to find a place with good friends of my home university, I was an overall good experience.

If you don't know anyone in London, it's definitely best if you go to Holborn, near to campus and walking distance from EVERYWHERE you'll want to go! -also, all the summerschool students will be there and meeting them makes your first days there much easier-

LSE doesn't offer any accommodation. There is an accommodation office helping students finding a solution though. It is located in the university and operates every day. It is connected to the London Accommodation network realized by the University of London. Refer to LSE site to learn more!

London is a very expensive place to live. Halls are affordable and also make it easier to get to know other students, etc. My hall of residence is also very central and there is a good mix of students from different countries.

Graduate housing at LSE is organised in apartments of six or four rooms with an independent kitchen and bathrooms. It's great because it allows you privacy and access to kitchen facilities at your convenience.

REVIEWS BY INTERNS AT LSE
Experience and great addition to CV
Work on real business case from the beginning of the internship gave me massive charge of professional experience. Driven by interest and responsibility for my part of projects, I was motivated to learn by doing as efficiently as possible. Seniors were always ready to help and redirect to a more efficient path of task solving, and that openness of them allowed me to grasp hitherto unknown methodics of financial model improvement, presentation structuring, collaboration with colleagues, and many other kinds of professional tasks accomplishment.
ABOUT
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is unique in the United Kingdom in its concentration on teaching and research across the full range of the social, political and economic sciences. Founded in 1895 by Beatrice and Sidney Webb, the LSE is one of the largest colleges within the University of London and has an outstanding reputation for academic excellence nationally and internationally.
But this is an unusual UK university. Few university institutions in the world are as international. The study of social, economic and political problems covers not only the United Kingdom and other countries within the European Union, but also countries of every continent.
