Nightlife
Travel
Overall
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Tivoli and Doris are the best places to go out. Both free and have 1 euro beer on wednesday. Both free till 11 or 12 on Saturday. Doris is generally more expansive, but the crowd could be better for some. Check both out. Participate in sports that are offered by University. There are really a lot to choose from. Travelling can be costly, since the town is up the North, but do go to Sweden.

Personal recommendation:
The university supports and follows the student in a very good and personal way. The professors know each student and help each student to find their own direction in an indendant way.

FINAL COMMENTS

It's best to buy some warm clothes before you leave! Travelling around Finland is great in summertime (after university is over) with the train (half price with Finnish student card). Basic knowledge of English is useful, there were some international students that didn't speak a word of English and they had a hard time at the start. Great experience. I would leave right away if I could!
