HOUSING

Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Living on Campus was great but if I were going back I would look for a flat/house in Carlton (University District of Melbourne)
Personal comments:
During the first semester I lived in Menzies College close to the campus centre. It was very easy to meet people and build a social network. However, the noise level - especially at night - and the cleanliness were disappointing. This was the reason why I moved to Graduate House at the beginning of the second semester. The rating above applies to graduate house which I can recommend highly. Living on campus is very convenient but it has its price. The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Personal savings Government assistance Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Everything is slightly more expensive, and travelling was an opportunity not to be missed in this country. Besides, urban transports were expensive and "cheap" supermarkets not always accessible Travel, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Food, Nightlife, Housing: was the same price as at home. Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Share accomodation with minimum 2-3 people and car definitely needed since the city is huge. Rest is easy. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I was pretty well informed (home university and International Programmes Office). However, the Visa Application took longer than I expected, so start early. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Join one of the many clubs or societies - it really helps to meet people. FINAL COMMENTS
Tasmania is the most wonderful spot on earth, I've seen so far. Don't believe people/travel agents who tell you that 3 days are enough. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
