HOUSING

Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Due to the fact that I have more peace and so I could focus 100 percent on my studies than if I lived on a campus area.
Personal comments:
The housing offered by this university can be very good if the student is lucky enough to get it in one of its new buildings. Otherwise I have heard colleagues complaining. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
make up your mind if you just want to study for some credits or the expewrience or if you really want to learn something... i got the feeling that some of the courses where more to "entertain" the exchange students... but if thats what you are looking for you will have a great time!

Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English Was learning Swedish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Swedish How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) How much did you improve your Swedish?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
It is no problem not to speak Swedish if English is known. Most of the Swedes speak fairly good English, in every case better than in Germany. To learn Swedish was a great experience because I couldn't speak it at all and now after almost one year the communication with the Swedes is no problem at all. The ability to speak Swedish allowed me a faster integration in the Swedish society. It is always good to show the will to speak in the native language. Personal comments:
Don't buy books - try to borrow from library or copy them. Copying is not 'legal' but anyway everybody do like that. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That the term is really short and compact, and there is hardly time to rest. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Take the Swedish courses offered. If only for the fun, international atmosphere and great people you get to know. If writing a thesis, do it at a lab. You are welcomed with open arms and integrated into lab life quickly. Watch your money and time deadlines. FINAL COMMENTS
You should bring a fascination for this country. Then travel around and notice the subtle differences. Enjoy nature, and enjoy the people. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
