Swedish people can speak very very good English. From the beginning on I didn't have any problems with the communication. Most of the time the people recognized that I am a foreigner with only basic knowlegde of swedish and they immediately spoke English with me.

Academic
Course recommendations
The course-system is totally different from the system i know from Germany. The classes are not that big and the communication with the teacher is much better than in Germany. In Sweden, it seems that everything gets done with group-work, at least i made the experience. In conclusion, I can say that it is a very different way of studying compared with my home university. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this way more than the german way.

I wish I had known...
I knew before that Sweden is commonly more expensive than Germany. But I was surprised about the big difference.

Personal recommendation
Although the university is quite bis with its 20.000 students you feel familar. I think the reason for that was the small size of the classes and the good communication with teh teacher. But at the beginning, I had problems with the bureaucracy at the university. For several things you need special card to enter, for example. But in whole, i really enjoyed the atmosphere at the Campus.

Final comments
Try to travel and see as much things as you can. You will never have the possbility again. But spend money before you go. Otherwise you will probably get in financial trouble.

I enjoyed a coffee at steve's cafe. And the icecream of bosses glacebar is amazingly good. The night life is okay. You can do several things during the night. Tuesdays there is the International pub at Herrgar'n, for example. Wednesday you can have great burgers at Flamman while listening to Jazzmusic. And at weekends you can go to towncenter, there you will propably find something for you. One disadvantage are the prices of alcohol and that the bars close at 3 o'klock. Sometimes there are some special events organized by students for student: SOF, ELINpiaden, etc. And the also the monthly programme for the Exchange students is quite good. If you want to you can have lots of funny activities

Personal comments
The room was located in an area where only students live and also close to the university. Besides your room you have also an own bathroom, that means no share with other people. That was excellent. You live together with 7 other korridor mates and you share the kitchen with them. If not everybody prepares a meal, then there is enough space. The room look friendly with a big window-wall. I really felt home after a few weeks.
