If you want to travel, you need quite a lot time. Australia is a huge country and mid-semester break might not be long enough. I even had lectures during the break. The most important thing you need is open mind. Read Review

Personal comments:
University was full of Asian students who had really bad problems with language and that had an impact on teaching and communication with others. No problems with locals, if you didn't get something, you could always ask.

Culture

Activities
Campus life
Party / people
Weather / Location
I wish I had known...
It can be "very cold" during the winter in Sydney
In my opinion:
Most people loved it.

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled
Improved language skills
Met people from other countries
Became more independent
Partied a lot
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies/career
Personal recommendation:
The biggest drawback was the location, although it gets better when a new trainline is build. Two out three of my teachers were good, although only one was native, which was a bit disappointment.
