HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Campus of Macquarie University is about 15 busride from Sydney centre and I wanted to live in the city, so I chose to find a place on my own.

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
University was full of Asian students who had really bad problems with language and that had an impact on teaching and communication with others. No problems with locals, if you didn't get something, you could always ask. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
It can be "very cold" during the winter in Sydney In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The biggest drawback was the location, although it gets better when a new trainline is build. Two out three of my teachers were good, although only one was native, which was a bit disappointment. FINAL COMMENTS
If you want to travel, you need quite a lot time. Australia is a huge country and mid-semester break might not be long enough. I even had lectures during the break. The most important thing you need is open mind. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
