Personal spending habits:
The prices for housing are higher than back home in Graz, and I had a worse room in a worse area for more money than back home in Austria. When going to clubs in England, you usually have to pay to get in. Drinks can often be cheap, on student nights especially. However, mind how you get back home. I usually took a cab to get back, Manchester's not safe, so I preferred spending money for cabs rather than being attacked on the streets..
Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Food, Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
Watch out for flyers to get into the clubs for little money, watch out for announcements in the papers, watch out for offers in the supermarkets! :-)

Personal comments:
Lidl, aldi and Primark :) The town offers a lot of student discounts here at restaurants and shops, so remember your student ID! Didn't expected that rent at student hall would be so expensive than private flat. Public tranportation is relative cheap here.
