Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because due to the sharing of appartments with other students one gets to know each other.
Personal comments:
It is very good that MBS prob´vides the accomodation since this is otherwise a very expensive topic in Finland. Some of the rooms are anyhow in need of new parts of furniture. A very nice point is also that there is an internet connection available in all appartments.

Disappointing.

Even though there is a mandatory participation in class, the courses were sometimes quiet lax and I would have wished for more and deeper knowlegde to be gained.

Language of instruction: English
Local language was: Different than language of instruction.
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
Was learning the local language a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my knowledge
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: No problems in any areas (including slang)
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
How much did you improve your local language?
My level before: Did not speak it
My level after: Basic phrases
Personal comments:
In Finland, most people speak English well, so where ever you go, you can always speak English. On one side this is very positive, but it makes it very difficult when you want to learn Finnish. People are always very polite and will start talking in the language you know best.
