HOUSING

Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? The location of the residences is really close to the school, and rent is cheap compared to off-campus living. Also, the atmosphere of the buildings is really fun - if you lived off-campus you'd miss out on a lot of the fun of having all your friends close by.
Personal comments:
The set up of the residences is really well done - each group of 8-10 rooms has their own kitchen, which is perfect for dinner parties and pre-parties. The atmosphere of the buildings is really what makes it great, and it is facilitated by the set up, especially with the kitchens. STUDENT LIFE
by Brian, Audencia, Nantes, France
Business Studies, Independent
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
The bar in the school is not to be missed: in Klubben, there is cheap beer and a good atmosphere. On special occasions, it gets very crowded and exciting there ! There are also plenty of enjoyable places dowtown, bars like Hulen (this bar for students was built in a cave!)or discos like Metro or Miles Ahead. My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Maybe it is just another way of teaching different from the one I am used too, but I thought lectures were not very intense.

Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English Was learning the local language a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my knowledge How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) How much did you improve your local language?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Basic phrases Personal comments:
We got the opportunity to learn Norwegian at the NHH. I attented the course (at the beginning...) and began to make progress in speaking Norwegian. The "problem" was that EVERYBODY in Norway speaks English, so you do not get many opportunities to practice your Norwegian. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I was very well informed before going. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I don't really have any recommendations for this university as everything was very well organised. The only thing I can think off is about the language course, they could maybe try to inscribe students who wish to follow the course before they arrive so that there won't be any problems with the class being full. FINAL COMMENTS
It's really nice to visit some other Scandinavian countries while your in Norway. The Scanrail-ticket (train ticket like Interrail but the only for Scandinavian countires) is very good mean for doing that. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
