Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I would have choose a different area to live in, as there was other accomodations available in nicer areas of the city (yet not as close to the school) and the same price.
Personal comments:
The accomodations were satisfactory. They were conveniently located next to the school and in good location to the rest of the city. The accomodations didn't have the best facilities, location or cleanliness about them. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
night clubs like Lipp (very popular among foreign students), Shnas (the university on campus night club where you could have fun at accessible prices and in a safe environment due to the fact that only BI students could come in) bars with nice events and live concerts like Bla This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
I recommend to an exange student to register more courses of all different specialisations than is needed, and then (after 2 weeks) decide which to keep according to the personal and career requirements.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
I would appreciate to interact more with the Norwegian students in the team work. The teams were created mainly of the exchange students, and so we didn´t have such good chance to work and study with Norwegians. Otherwise I find the Business School of a very high quality. Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Local language was: Different than language of instruction.
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning the local language a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my knowledge How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: At ease in most situations How much did you improve your local language?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Basic phrases Personal comments:
The language of instructin is Englis, and I would have excepted just Italian as another possible language of instruction. In Norway practically everyone speaks English so I a not handikept by my gnorance of Norwegian. The Norwegian course was offered at school at a reasonable, but it was still too much for my budget. I do regret not having better knowledge of Norwegian language. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Family Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
In Norway everything is extremely expensive and clearly more expensive than in Switzerland. An exception was the surprisingly competitive telecommunication industry. Mobile phones were cheap and the telecommunication services good. The student residents are reasonably priced. Food, Travel, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife: was the same price as at home. Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Save a lot, for a comfortable student life you need about 1150 Euros or 700 pounds. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I didnt know how easy it was to travel around europe, Had I known I would have planned it better. Also I thought Norway would be too cold and had carried extra wollen clothes which were not necessary. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Go there and enjoy the Norwegain way of life. FINAL COMMENTS
Travelling around europe is very easy and therefore before going get visas for those countries not covered under schengen like UK, Switzerland, Czech republic etc. Busses are cheaper than trains. One can buy the Euroline Bus pass and save money. Also keep a lookout for cheap airlines like Ryanair, Goodjet, Gofly, Easyjet as they offer really cheap and sometime free tickets. I travelled on a Goodjet from Oslo to Paris for 19 euro. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
