Food and nightlife and traveling where extreamly expensive in Norway because they taxation policy. The housing was ok because it was subsidized by the university. Also it was free to call from a student house to another and I was carefull with international calls Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Housing: was the same price as at home. Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
There were some tax-free shops. And also some student discounts in buses or books... And we had IKEA so the forniture and stuff like that wasn´t really a problem. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

As for food, telephone, accomodation and nightlife Norway is very expensive ... as is Switzerland when it comes to travelling, The only option to get around is by plane or car options that I actually used intensely, and all in all the two major airlines have quite cheap student fares ... thus use the chance. as for trips around Trondheim, sharing a rental car can be cheaper as four bus tickets. The same applies for cabs: as soon as you are four or more, forget the city transport (it sucks anyway) and call a cab. Travel: was more expensive than at home. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was the same price as at home. Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
To buy second hand stuff is not really necessary, as there is a REMA 1000 supermarket next door where you find all you need for good prices. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Evrything is very expensive in Norway, the level of life is much higher than in others european country, except for the phone. The reason I paid the same for the housing is only because the place where I was staying was cheaper than everywhere else, mostly because it was full of exchange students. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Housing: was the same price as at home. Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
