Personal comments:
Many students thought the workload was quite high because it is evenly distributed throughout the semester, which often comes as a shock to europeans. I didn't think it was much more than at home. Teaching much more practical than use to in Europe where things tends to be a bit dry and theoretical.

The best idea is to talk to the upper year students. They have a pretty good idea about the classes they were taking or taking now....so they'll be able to recomend good classes or profs.
