Just in general the prices in Canada are higher than in my home country. However it is possible to save up by not eating out or going out every day.

There are a lot of opt-outs that you can do and it'll save you about $200-$300. Just check Q-card for it in the finantial information.

i traveled a lot and traveling is more expensive than in france (eps buses and trains)

Do not shop at A&P, they rip you off. Live close to campus, it is worth the extra rent, you will save it by not taking cabs. Try to live east of campus as opposed to west, that way you are closer to Princess (downtown).

There are lots of discounts available through the university. Don't forget to collect the coupon-book made available to students in the beginning of the year! Rent cars from Ace: best cars and lowest rates!
