The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH)was founded in 1827 and is the largest of Sweden's six universitites of technology. Since 1917 KTH has been housed in central Stockholm in beautiful buildings which today have historical monument status, and associated colleges etc. are also found in various places outside Stockholm " Haninge, Kista, Södertälje and Gävle and on Gotland, Sweden's largest island.

I wish i had started learning Swedish before going to Sweden, because of the reason that the chances to find work are higher if you know Swedish.

Regarding the academic issues i have no remarks. I would only say that its better if students are housed in dorms taht are near their campuses so they wont have to travel a lot.



FINAL COMMENTS

I gained a lot of personal and academic experience in Sweden and KTH. The classes are organized in a way that if you attend them regularly and pay attention you will have time to study and have fun as well (including traveling). The teachers are all very polite and always prepare to help.

Though there is quite a bit interaction with the industry, a little bit more would have done no harm.

It was great to be a part of KTH. Overall, Sweden is a nice country to be visiting, especially in the summer, with people generally helpful. The swedish people are generally are nice people. People tell that Swedes do not talk much. But, I found out that once you get to talk with them, they open up and are great to speak to.

Be ready to spend money. About travels: Free camping is allowed over the whole Scandinavia. Take the train to Lappland. Take the boat to Helsinki and Tallin. The are very cheap prices for student at the Opera. It is really worth it.

Its world top rank university, state of the art courses and very famous professor

Its better to do insurance there because whether is bad in Sweden, so u can get injury and its really very costly so better to take insurance. I think its good idea.

Book your accommodation early, so you can stay in lappis, which is ok. Otherwise they put you to the outskirts and it takes ages to come to the center

It is good to try to find activities mixing local and international students (courses, sport...) so that the contacts with local people is eased. Try to apply for an intensive Swedish course from home, so that you don't have to wait one semester to start the language course (long waiting list).

It is a very good university with high level courses and a good reputation inside and outside Sweden. The Master programs are intensive but interesting and rewarding.

Tip: try to prepare your documents for the Resident permit application from home (certificate of financial means, social and personal insurance certificates), you will save time. Visit the neighbour Scandinavian countries.

KTH is a well respected university and has good academic standards. I can recommend perspective students this university.

Free studies, excellent facilities and friendly natives; if these factors ring a bell in your ears, do come to Sweden. By the way it's cheap with Ryan air!

Stockholm is a great town, but people can also hate it. Foreigner girls have usually less fun than guys. During the winter it is not that interesting to travel, but as soon as the summer starts, then you have so many places: from Lapland to Norway, Denmark, Finland and Estonia; mainly nature more than big towns.

I am impressed by the quality of eduation. It is practice oriented and TRUELY research based. It is hand and gloov with comanies around. I recommend this university to keep up with these qulities.
