Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Itīs near the campus and students are able to meet and comunicate better with each other.
Personal comments:
Villa Alvarado is a on-campus apartment facility provided by SDSU, it nice and clean. And provides a great oportunity to exchange student for his/her further integration.

Tijuana Mexico,is a good place to go for partying some clubs where Safari, Baby Rocks. Also in San Diego the downtown was really nice, there is a lot of coffes, bars, a beautiful mall with movies. My favorit coffe around school was the living room, a place also to study. Besides the concerts at the university where great. Baseball, basketball and futball games were really exciting too.

Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
You always think your english speaking is good, but you first experience something like this, you feel very uncomfortable during few weeks.... most of International Students have been to US or England or whatever so they speak well, but everybody don't care of your mistakes or accent, becuz' they ve already experienced that or merely because even americans don't speak a good english....Anyway, speak a lot with different people...even with french, because sometimes you live very difficult period!!!!!

Personal spending habits:
Accomodation is expensive, yes but why??? French exchange rate versus dollar was very high....but it's not excessive....then when you are abroad, far from your home, you are obliged to visit more, to go out more to meet people, to spend money for spend money because sometimes you're sad but most of the time you're out with friends, travelling, visiting, clubbing, drinking...and thats expensive...but you not not regret!!!!!
Travel, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Food, Nightlife: was the same price as at home.
Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Open an account there because banking fees are excessive between countries!!!!

I wish I had known...
The concept city in San Diego defers from the European concept of city. San Diego is a grate city, but do not expect people everywhere rush hours and noise
In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
