fly into NY and then get a jet blue flight to buffalo, much cheaper this way. i would not purchase the meal plans - you don't need to, supermarket nearby and kitchen facilities. take a network card for your laptop computer/PC so that you can use internet in your room. take some things that are quintessentially english as they love them! very good, shared rooms as standard in US but very big. great dining room open late, kitchen facilities and gym. good free transport around campus.

Mollys pub on a thursday, $1 drinks, $5 pitchers. amys place for breakfast. city grill downtown is a great restauarant. lots of free house parties.
