Europa 15 de Telefonica. You can call every day 15 minutes to a country of the EU. For 1500 Pts./month. There exist a variety of call back cards which can be found in "locutorios" (private phone shops!).

The accomodation prices in the center of Madrid were higher. Furthermore, international phonce calls contribute a lot to more spendings. Furthermore, exploring a foreign country almost always implies more traveling, leading to more expenses in this category.

One factor is that the dollar is below the euro right now. I think that´s the greatest reason my expenses have been higher than I am accostomed.
