HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I was able to find a wonderful roomate and living situation. We moved together into a new apartment right in the middle of "old town".
Personal comments:
The University only provided a list of contacts of available housing. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Personal comments:
Cafe Curia was my favorite cafe: classical music, home-baked cakes, the best coffee in town- and right beneath my house (owned/operated by my landlord). Cafe Iruna has the best view for people watching, as does the Caballo Blanco. Bars: El Meson de Navararria: good artwork, laid back atmosphere. Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
All of the classe I attended were regular University classes, not designed for foriegn students. Because of this, the beginning was more difficult, but it challenged me to learn faster and understand more complex language and situations within the University (using the library, registering for classes) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
