Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: dorm style
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why? While living with fellow students was fun, I feel like if I had stayed with a family, I would have had more exposure to Spanish life and culture. Also, when living with other English-as-a-first-language speakers, you tend to speak English instead of Spanish.
Personal comments:
I stayed in a former nunnery, which had excellent facilities and ws always clean. The food was great and I loved that the cooks, servers, and other staff always outgoing and loved talking to students.

Personal social experience
Activities
KEY:
Amazing! Hardly had time to study.
Plenty to do when I had the time.
So-so.
Did not get involved.
Nightlife
Travel
Overall
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Personal comments:
The funnest event going on at the time of my arrival in July was the festival of Sampedros, in which about 200 townspeople serenaded our residencia and danced with us. The city was always having parades and little sidewalk shows and amazing concerts (set up with the cathedral wall as a backdrop). Avalon and 21 were the best clubs to go to (after 1 AM, all the teeny-boppers are out before that).

Personal comments:
The coursework wasn't very challenging, and though that is a bonus so you can havemore free time, I do wish we had to think a little more. The teachers themsleves were excellent.
