Personal comments
I have not had any negative surprises. There is definately no need to own a car in Cádiz, as one can reach almost every place on foot. Travelling in gerenal is organised very well, as for example bus-trips to neighbouring cities. The living costs are not too high and one can live comfortably with around 5000 pesetas a week (food-wise).

The food here is much cheaper, especially with the posibility of buying in the market in the center. In general the things are cheaper in Andalusia. The price nivel is not so high in comparision with Austria

Housing
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I really enjoyed my experience living with a family, and was able to learn much more than students who lived in the residencias, however, at this point in my life I would rather live with Spanish or other International roommates of my own age and interests.

My host family was extremely kind, warm, and generous. I could not have asked for better accomadations. They treated me like part of the family and I had my own room and everything.

Personal comments
The gaditano accent is possibly the most difficult to understand in Spain. Gaditanos tend to use a lot of slang, and professors at the university try their best to sound completely comprehensible. Sometimes, howevr, I struggles to keep up.
