HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I loved being independent and really being integrated with the Spanish culture by having all my roomates be Spanish.
Personal comments:
Well, since I am fluent in Spanish, I had an easy time finding my own place, they have posters advertising rooms for rent. One problem is that the water is usually heated by a "butano" which is a gas light, and its not what I am used to, you should look for "agua central".

My favorite place to eat tapas was at D'Cuadros, they serve you huge plates of tapas for free with your drink, which is usually only 1.75 euro.

In southern Spain, they have a distinct accent in the way they speak, but after hanging out with a few Spaniards for a month, you can pick it up quickly.
