If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I found it cheaper to go out and find an apparment to share with other students than to live in a residencia, or with a family, or in the appartments listed by the University. I was able to live a Spanish students, and preferred the freedom of coooking and cleaning for myself and coming and going as I liked.
Personal comments:
I've been told that the residencias in Granada have excellent standards. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? It was a great experience to live with other Internationals speaking Spanish. It was good to get to know the city rather than living outside of it on campus.
Personal comments:
My housemates became my best friends out there. It was a great place to relax with friends. It was a great start to my Spanish language skills having to phone up 20 Spanish speakers and ask about their accomodation. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? If I were to go back now (as a non-student) I would want to have my own place.
Personal comments:
The accomodation had nothing to do with the university. This was a private renting agreement (ie I looked on the lamp posts at the hundreds of adverts and hoped that one was available). I was lucky - my flatmates were wonderful. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? The freedom of having young roommates, a wonderful kitchen and no one looking over your shoulder makes for a very good year.
Personal comments:
The key is to find housing in the middle of Granada. Transportation is extensive and the city is small. It is important to hold out for a well lit and clean apartment. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
