if you hire a car you can see from mountains to the sea and desert, flat countryside verything. much culture is around this area. and near valladoild there are fine bodegas, where you can get very tasteful homemade wine and food - for quite good price you have to take the opportunity and travel around. HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because Iīm used to live on my own and so I can share flat with other people (spanish or foreigners)
Personal comments:
the university is quite helpful in finding accomodation. the flats for students are not always in a good condition due to the fact thta the owners just want to earn money on the students from outside valladolid. but there arenīt any problems with them. as the are in orginimal condition they donīt use to have good heating and modern furniture, but its really enough for staying there for a short periode of time. itīs very easy to find cheap flats also in the neighbourhood of the university, but you have to spend a lot of time if you want somth in conditions. it helps you arrive the earliest possible because in second half of september the best flats are yet "full".

Activities
KEY:
Amazing! Hardly had time to study.
Plenty to do when I had the time.
So-so.
Did not get involved.
Nightlife
Travel
Overall
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment
Personal comments:
during the day the students meet in the cafes just beside the facultiy. in the night there are 4 areas where to go out - all of different stile. they aswell have different "rush-hours" and so you start in one and then you move to the next and maybe to another one ... you have there bars where you just stay outside, because the crowd dont fit inside and you have bars-discos or normal discos with 2 floors. the good thing is, that most of the areas are in the centre of the town- so you can reach them by feet.
