HOUSING
by , University of Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom
Philology, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Greater independence/freedom; real experience of living in a foreign country; opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds (i.e. not necessarily students.)
Personal comments:
No experience of university halls of residence. As I understood it, it was more expensive than finding private accomodation, although this did include meals. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
It easy to learn spanish there. People try to understand you and there are a lot of courses. And the "best" Spanish (the best pronounced) is spoken in valladolid, so it makes it easier. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
which classes to chose, signing up for classes was pretty chaotic In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
All in all I'd recomend going there for a study-abroad experience. The administration is chaotic at times. But the people from the office of "relaciones internacionales" are really nice and helpful. The coordinators of each faculty have to be bothered at times until they are willingto help you. Spanish students here are usually nice and helpful. FINAL COMMENTS
-if you plan on going here, there is a preparation week in september for all the international students. Be sure to sign up. -The different faculty offer trips to other cities This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
