There was a service on campus that helped any student to find accomodation be it in a residence or in a flat as it had a list of adverts

A club in the area zone as La zona is going to be fun, places such as Boxes. Plaza de Pillar is beautiful and surrounded in culture within the museums in the area and life within the people. Many beautiful areas off the plaza de independencia.

Course recommendations:
the exams are harder that you migth think, many exchange students failed. Hardly anybody can pass more than 4-5 exams. Use the advantage of courses with group-work. It helps to get in touch with local students and improving your exam grades.

Personal comments:
it's generally easy to get to talk to Spanish people which gives you the chance to improve your language quickly. Languages/ Philology at uni are often taught in the language, i.e. French literature in French, which seems a good idea to me but which to consider if you're keen on being taught in Spanish.

I worked, but it was illegal/cash in hand work
Personal spending habits:
Everything is cheaper except mobiles and landlines, but I travelled more than I would at uni at home.
Telephone: was more expensive than at home.
Food, Travel, Nightlife: was the same price as at home.
Overall, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
budget for temporary food and accommodation whilst you're looking, it all adds up really quickly. Take advantage of free alcohol nights and drinking from bottles on the streets to save money.

Personal recommendation:
I would give a thumbs up - it hasn't got the highest academic standards and the lack of facilities could be a problem for some people but Erasmus is about much more than learning academically.



FINAL COMMENTS

This was my only choice of University to study at but a have no regrets about going there. Zaragoza is a great city full of great people. I felt very much at home there. Take full advantage of what Zaragoza has to offer - too many students complained of there not being anything to do - there is plenty on if you look hard enough!
