Under Spanish law, deposits on flats are 1months rent if unfurnished, or 2 if furnished. This means you pay up to 3 months' rent up front, so opening a Spanish account and transferring money ASAP is important. Check how much your bank charges to take out money abroad and to transfer money for foreign accounts. Setting up bank accounts are easy, all you need is your passport and some money to deposit. iberCaja is a great bank (but they are only local.) Santander Central Hispano are good and a very big national bank (and have agreement with RBS back home).

Housing: My rent was expensive for Spain but still cheap for the UK. Travel: I did more travelling then I do in the UK. (I also had to catch to bus to the engineering school). Bus/train tickets have a more-or-less constant price , in the UK the prices change for singles/returns advance purchases special offers etc. If you are lucky travel can work out cheaper in UK but it is usually more expensive than Spain.

You have to buy copies of the lecture notes. The plus side of this is that they are usually have better quality/content/presentation. Buses from Madrid/Barcelona are much cheaper than the train.

life in Spain is generally fairly cheap, particularly going out, eating out or travel. So even though I went out more and travelled more than I do in my home country I didn't have to spend more.

if you want to live cheap look for a flat. Colegios are nice because of the social touch but they are more expensive than sharing a flat is.

Try and find a flat with a phone in it or organise a mobile phone in the country, phone boxes do not except incoming calls and using a British mobile abroad would cost a bomb.

budget for temporary food and accommodation whilst you're looking, it all adds up really quickly. Take advantage of free alcohol nights and drinking from bottles on the streets to save money.

The cost of everyday life is lower in Zaragoza than in Tilburg-The Netherlands. I spent more on nightlife and traveling because many activities were organized and I enjoyed getting more familiar with the local culture.

REVIEWS BY INTERNS AT Universidad de Zaragoza
He aprendido a llevar talleres en grupo y a realizar dinámicas psicoeducativas.
ABOUT
