I have received absolutely no help from either of the universities and was forced to find housing in a very tedious manner.

Personal comments:
Teachers should pay attention so foreign exchange students who do not speak the local language are not left alone. Also, the Erasmus office at UNL should be friendlier and be OK with speaking in English instead of scolding fresh-comers for not speaking fluent Portuguese already.

I was not informed that American Studies is taught almost exclusively in Portuguese, which led me to not understand most of my classes at all.
