I wish I had known...
To not worry so much about knowing everything beforehand and to know that I would just figure things out as they came.

I enjoyed studying at the University of Rennes II. It doesn't have the most beautiful campus and the academic system can be frustrating in terms of finding classes, but overall it's a nice place to study.

Travel as much as you can in Europe, but also don't forget to take advantage of all the beautiful places to visit in Brittany.

Living with a family definitely helps. I spoke more English than I probably should have (just because Rennes is a rather forgotten city in terms of study abroad doesn't mean that you're the only English speaker there).

Tabor Park. Absolutely gorgeous with caves and live bands. Very peaceful; beautiful scenery. Café Noir: Opp. the station, latest opening hours in Rennes. Wide variety on menu; English menus if you're struggling.
