Prices change. Accomodation in Rome is by far the most expensive thing you'll face if you ever show up. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Travel: was the same price as at home. Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Cash dispensers have high fees. Better to withdraw a significant amount at once. Careful with the banks if you want to open an account."Banca di Roma" scammed a bunch of people a lot with a supposedly Student-fee-free sort of account.
