Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Studenthouse
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: in the same place
Why? even if it wasn't the cleanest and my room not the biggest, I felt home in that studenthouse
Personal comments:
Compared to my home-town university, which is very large, and where th relationships between the students and the professors are more formal, the Bayreuth Universitaet offered a more familiar atmosphere and more reliable services for the students. The professors worked very closely with the singol students on a one to one base.

I coped pretty well.
Sometimes it was difficult.
It was a constant struggle.
Educational
Administrative / Institutional
Overall
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German
How much did you improve your German?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Personal comments:
As I came to Germany I was already speaking good German (1 year high school exchange programme), but after 2 semesters of studying and living in Germany I improved my German to a very fluent level. An Erasmus exchange year is also a multicultural experience as you also communicate with other students from Europe.
