HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why? Not many social activities with locals/Germans were possible aat the campus.
Personal comments:
The housing contract is tricky, watch out for housing period in the contract (usually longer than a semester) and departure details, as no rent refund is possible and significant fines are deducitble from the room deposit. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your German?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
Courses were held in German and some in English. International students communicate mostly in English. I beleive there might be a any language benefit (even Russian ;), however one needs a language-buddy. It depends on the closest community from the very first days. OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
variety in exams' evaluation In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
If you are less experienced in stays abroad, go for it! FINAL COMMENTS
Mannheim is a simple place. This is to be compensated by the University, activities and community. I believe there is no difference in fun w/ internationals between countries/cities; however i.e. Berlin provides more inducements.
