HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why? During the summer time the majority of the students living in the dorms are foriegn. I was really looking forward to practicing my French, but no one on my floor was French, the majority were Chinese exchange students with little knowledge of the langague. Most of the people that were studying with Miami University spoke English a lot of the time which was frusterating as well since I wanted to improve my fluency in French.
Personal comments:
Housing is out of date compared to most American Universities. Simple facilities, rooms have a bed, desk, sink, and closet space. Co-ed bathrooms proved problematic at times (we had several "peeeper incedents" while I was there.

Not really important.
Unimportant.

I wish I had known...
It is hard to travel via train from Dijon. Many destinations required backtracking through Paris which added expenses.
In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled
Improved language skills
Met people from other countries
Became more independent
Partied a lot
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies/career
Personal recommendation:
Probably would have had a fuller experience had I gone on my own, not with an American University.
