Housing was determined by the director of the program, who works for CIEE. He did a wonderful jog placing students with families.

Total immersion is the best thing for learning a foreign language. I was around too many Americans but I feel I progressed extremely well.

I wish I had known...
That I had to pay more for my train tickets because I was over 26. I would've bought a Eurail pass.

Final comments
If they finally have more events with the other students...GO...GO...GO. It was a bit difficult for us to meet French students as we were all in another building all the time. Try to meet people outside of the university too. The town is about more than the university. Learn about the people and the culture. It's very interesting. I met so many nice people!! I loved that it was a smaller town as compared to Paris for example. There's more of a feeling of belonging.

Take a bunch of money. Be under 26 :), I was not. Buy a Eurail pass so you can travel without spending tons of money. Research calling cards before you go, you may find better deals than the ones you can find there.
