Founded in 1817, the University of Liège is the only public Community-sponsored university in the French-speaking part of Belgium which offers a complete range of university courses at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Sometimes the Sart Tillman campus seems the big-brother house...and is located in the middle of a wood but it's a very intresting experience!

Nightlife in Liège is the Carré:4 little streets full of disco-pubs but don't stay always there!! try for exemple some café in Outre-meuse!

if you want to learn french in Liège you have to do only one thing:don't stay always with italian students!there is a big risk to create a little Italy, especially on the campus!!!

I wish I had known...
Don't listen who say that Liège is a awful,grey town.you can find something beauty even here,if you want.You have to be open, tou have to be happy! P.S read Pedigree, La danseuse du Gai Moulain,Le pendu de Saint-Pholien,Les trois crimes des mes amis by Georges Simenon.He is born in Liège and these novels are located in this town.
