HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: First campus, then appartment
Why? First campus to meet other students, then in an appartment because of better facilities.
Personal comments:
The university itself will not do anything, you will have to go to the CROUS, where you can choose on which campus you want to live. The price is really great (about 120 euro!). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Go to Tapas, this is not a tapas-bar but a bar where you can drink shots, good prices! Jonathan's if you want to hang with the locals and play some bingo (drinks can be won..), Subway if you like (hard)rock, avoid the big disco's in Nice! (too much money for nothing), go to Eze for the beautiful view, villefranche has a nice beach, check out the promenade des anglais at 7 in the morning in the summer.. ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Take as much courses as you can from Piquemal, he's the best professor over there, especially droit international économique is interesting
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
The only thing you have to know for your exam is what the prof has dictated! I didn't buy any books that year and passed all my exams... This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: French
Was learning French a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your French?
My level before: No problems in any areas (including slang) My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
I already spoke French when I went to Nice, the only thing I had to get used to was legal French, but after a month or so it wasn't a problem This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Government assistance Other sources of funding:
Family An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Food: I love French food! Phone: Cheap subscription Housing:Cheap campus-room, then a (super)appartment at the beach, every student gets rent support (I got about 100 euro a month!) Nightlife: going out often costs you quite some money, since Nice is quite expensive Travel: I took my car to visit the south of France, Italy and Spain Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Ask rent support! Somethinf else that really sound cheap but saves you a lot of money, is that people in Nice throw everything away (even when it's brand new). I found a microwave, a color tv and a (new!) vacuum cleaner on the street, it all worked perfectly, it's really incredible. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That my room on campus was that small! I packed my car and had to leave half of my stuff in the car. But it wasn't such a big problem. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
If you're going to study law, choose international law, the profs are well known in the country and can tell you interesting stories. FINAL COMMENTS
If it's possible, go by car, that way, you're really free to do what you want. Visit Italy, it's only half an hour away! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
