Personal spending habits:
Food: I love French food! Phone: Cheap subscription Housing:Cheap campus-room, then a (super)appartment at the beach, every student gets rent support (I got about 100 euro a month!) Nightlife: going out often costs you quite some money, since Nice is quite expensive Travel: I took my car to visit the south of France, Italy and Spain
Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home.
Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Ask rent support! Somethinf else that really sound cheap but saves you a lot of money, is that people in Nice throw everything away (even when it's brand new). I found a microwave, a color tv and a (new!) vacuum cleaner on the street, it all worked perfectly, it's really incredible.

Personal spending habits:
I spent more money overall while studying abroad because I used the opportunity to travel, and also because Nice is an expensive city. Also, the exchange rate between the euro and the dollar make it even more difficult to be frugal.
Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home.
Housing: was the same price as at home.
