Go and visit Paris at any time you can! Fist Sunday every month museums are free! Having a car wouln't be bad especially for trips to the countryside or sea (e.g. Honfleur, Etretat, Deauville, Trouville etc) as public transport isn't that good. Read Review

HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Campus is in Mt St Aignan - too far away from city centre.
Personal comments:
Be careful with CROUS! They like to chage their rent very suddenly without warning. It's 40€ more in renovated romms if you're staying less than 8 months.

Plenty to do when I had the time.
So-so.
Did not get involved.
Nightlife
Travel
Overall
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment
Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Emporium - well, that's where all the Erasmus go

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Quality of courses
KEY:
Fantastic.
Pretty good.
Could've been a bit better.
Disappointing.
Variety of courses
Availability/access to resources
Interaction with teachers
Interaction with other international students
Interaction with local students
Course recommendations:
Always try to ask for oral exams and polycopiés (a scipt of the course)

My opinion of the university assessment
Exams at end of course
KEY:
Liked it.
It was alright.
A bit annoying.
Didn't like it.
Exams throughout the course
Essays and/or projects at the end of course.
Essays and/or projects throughout the course
Overall
Personal comments:
Library is poor - hardly any books availabla In course, you're supposed to write anything the teacher says. Didn't like it at all - suppose this is cause I'm used to work independently with books. 30 ECTS is very much in Rouen (compared to my home university)

My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
Don't worry about that - it will be quite easy to cope with French once you're there

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
Academic reasons
KEY:
Very Important.
Important.
Not really important.
Unimportant.
Culture
Costs
Activities
Campus life
Party / people
Weather / Location
I wish I had known...
That I don't like the French university system - courses are boring in my opinion because you don't discuss but only write and study this by heart.
In my opinion:
Most people loved it.

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled
Improved language skills
Met people from other countries
Became more independent
Partied a lot
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies/career
Personal recommendation:
If you don't have to do 30 ECTS - enjoy your stay, don't take too many courses and travel as much as you like. If you have to do 30 ECTS - well, try to enjoy it as well ;-)
