HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because the apartment was perfect and for Dutch understandings not very expensive. The neighbourhood in which the apartment was situated was also very good and close to the main facilities.
Personal comments:
I don't know, because I have not lived at the university campus

I coped pretty well.
Sometimes it was difficult.
It was a constant struggle.
Educational
Administrative / Institutional
Overall
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish
How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Basic phrases
My level after: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
Personal comments:
The learning improvement could have been better, but it was not the fault of the university. They offered enough programs to learn the language.

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Second-hand text books
KEY:
Very easy.
Minimal effort.
Accessible but required effort.
Almost impossible.
Second-hand household items
Computers / Internet
Administrative
Money from home
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant
Other sources of funding:
Personal savings
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits:
At some points I spent more, but that was because at home I lived with my parents, so I didn't had the costs for housing and food. Telephone costs were higher because of international calls. The overall living costs in Castellón were lower than in the Netherlands.
Food, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Overall: was the same price as at home.
Travel, Nightlife: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
At every corner of the street is a cash dispenser!
